  Did the zombie room, it was great and Chris was so happy and fun!
We decided to go very spontaneously at 10:30pm and it was a fun night-time detour.

  Amazing, Accommodating and Adaptive! *Very Supportive of those with hearing difficulties* – Our Host Amelia was very accommodating, friendly and enthusiastic. She was able to adapt the rooms to our needs (as we where a large group with most having various hearing… read more difficulties, a few profound deaf) on the spot.

This made for a very unique experience of the escape room, that was both entertaining and fun, that had a good balance of figuring things out ourselves and guiding us along when we struggled.

This sort of critical thinking is commendable and should be a practice that is seen more often for those with disabilities and as such I would like to thank Escape Rooms @ Cardiff for such an amazing and supportive evening.

We did Astro Quest and Toni was our host. We all enjoyed it and all participated and contributed. The kids were inquisitive when we were in the room and noticed things that once we found a clue they realised what it related to. Toni was enthusiastic and gave us hints when needed when we were close but not too much that it gave it away.
If you haven’t done an escape room before this is a great starter with lovely staff. Break up your shopping day by having some fun here. Looking forward to doing another one.

  This is the sixth Escape Room I’ve done this year and unfortunately the first real disappointment I’ve had (which is a shame because this was my first visit to this… read more particular place). My partner and I did the Sherlock Holmes themed room for my birthday which I was excited about because I’m a fan of the Great Detective. Literally one of the first puzzles to solve malfunctioned, that is, the lock wouldn’t open despite the fact we had the correct solution (and before you ask, yes, we had clicked it twice). I’ve had Escape Rooms malfunction before, I get it, it happens, it’s hard to make it work perfectly every time, but usually the staff have the grace to acknowledge it. Instead we were told there was ‘no issue’ which was weird because, ya know, we had, in fact, just HAD an issue. If we can’t open something despite having the correct solution then there demonstrably IS an issue, made us think that we hadn’t got the correct solution meaning that we wasted a lot of time and rather spoiled the game for us right at the beginning (had another lock malfunction later in the game too but not quite as badly, I don’t know, maybe it was the cold weather). Many of the ‘hints’ came long after we had already solved the puzzles, despite being told that we could be seen and heard at all times (this was a problem on the very first puzzle where we found the solution quickly but couldn’t progress because of the malfunction). A shame really because I liked the room broadly, it had some clever and unexpected puzzles though the anachronisms somewhat spoiled the immersion for me, but I am a stickler for theme so that is just personal taste I guess. Out of the three Escape Rooms I’ve been to in Cardiff it is the only one I’ve had a bad experience at. All in all, I left in a bad mood and it makes me reluctant to go back.

She helped us understand the rules, the process, things we would need to know for the game and was energetic, encouraging and amazing from start to finish.

The escape room that we did was a series of rooms with incredibly immersive detail in them, each puzzle to be solved was intuitive and well thought out with a huge amount of variety.

I enjoyed every step of the way and despite our first time we managed to conquer our first room! Toni made sure to give us hints only when it was clear we were struggling which I greatly appreciated. Giving us critical pushes for us to be able to work out the puzzles with the information we already had available.

I would recommend this Escape Room to anyone looking to give themselves a fun challenging experience!

I absolutely will be returning in the future.

The whole experience was great, and the staff were really understanding when we emailed to say we were run a little bit late, replying quickly to our message.
Definitely recommend them, and would go back to try another room.

There isn’t a cafe here but you are not far from one of you have to wait for people to complete the game. Easy to get to from car parks nearby or public transport

  Amazing Day out! Brilliant fun for everyone! – Amazing! Todd our Game Master was brilliant and gave us everything we needed to know including lots of clues when we asked! Such a fun but creepy vibe to the… read more room! The room we did was Occulus (About a serial killer who is obsessed with eyes) so was meant to be quite creepy! But the room was honestly so eerily realistic it was 90’s themed with all very accurate decoration and interior and little minor details and touches that added to the theme perfectly for example a jacket on the back of the door that could quite literally be a serial killers 😅 Creepy music playing which added to the atmosphere immensely. Would definitely go again! They have over 7 rooms so plenty to choose from depending on who you go with or what kind of theme you like!

  Great escape room experience, great game host Grey – Great Fun, played the Sherlock 2 Game. Grey was a great game host, very friendly! Reasonably priced and a really fun team exercise.
